Dhallywood filmmaker Rafique Sikder has recently announced a new film carrying a strong social message against drug menace. The film is yet to be titled.

Rafique came up with the announcement at a time when the country’s showbiz industry is shaken up by anti-drug raids with arrests of several people including actress Pori Moni and film producer Nazrul Islam Raz.

Taking his social media handle, Rafique wrote on Saturday that the new film will be financed by Shamsul Haque Tuku, chairman of the parliamentary committee on the ministry of home affairs. The idea of the story is also inspired by him. Story, dialogue and screenplay of the film will be written by AHM Enamul Haque. The untitled film will bear a message about the scary effects of narcotics substances, he mentioned in the Facebook post.

Taking to The Business Post yesterday, Rafique said that filming of the project will be launched in September, if the existing Covid-19 situation improves.

Currently, Rafique Sikder is awaiting release of his third film ‘Bosonto Bikel’ which is delayed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
