Kareena turns producer with Ekta Kapoor in Hansal Mehta’s thriller

Kareena Kapoor Khan is ready to make her debut as a producer with filmmaker Hansal Mehtas’s yet-to-be-titled thriller, after publishing her book ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’. She will also star in the film.

On Monday, Kareena joined Karan Johar for a live Instagram session to launch her book. The actress shared many details of her personal life in the session. Later, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a new post, revealing that Kareena has taken up the new role of a producer. He also mentioned that the film is inspired by true incidents and is based in the UK.

Excited to turn producer for the first time, Kareena Kapoor Khan said, “Very honoured and excited to work as a producer on this film with Ekta whom my family has known for years and of course to be directed by Hansal for the first time. I am a huge fan of Hansal’s films and to be working with him for the first time will be special. There are a lot of firsts on this film and I cannot wait to begin this journey,” according to the report of India Today.

Director Hansal Mehta, who is excited to work with Ekta and Kareena as producers of the film, informed that their aim is to create a gripping and moody thriller. He also mentioned that Kareena will be playing a character and he is hopeful that she will do justice to her talent as an actor.

On the work front, Kareena has ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in the pipeline. The film stars Aamir Khan in the lead role and is based on the Hollywood blockbuster film ‘Forrest Gump.’
