‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ trailer allegedly leaked, Sony issues takedowns

Sony Pictures is working hard to remove all traces of the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ teaser that was leaked online on Sunday. Fans posted many videos on YouTube and other sites, all of which were removed with the statement, “This video contains content from Sony Pictures Movie and Shows, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.”

While Sony Pictures continues to take down most versions of the leaked trailer, some were still floating around at the time of writing. Other than that, most tweets are fans discussing what might happen to the alleged leaker, and the rumor mill in overdrive as to how this might affect the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer’s actual release date.

The Hollywood Reporter viewed the alleged leak, and its contents appeared to be legitimate. However, no specifics will be shared. The studio seemed to be in something of a whack-a-mole situation, as when one video would be blocked, another would be shared on Twitter.

Spider-Man fans have been chomping at the bit for the first look at No Way Home as rumors have swirled about who may show up from previous Spider-Man films.

Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jamie Foxx are among the actors who will appear in the movie’s star-studded cast. ‘Spider–Man: No Way Home’ is currently slated to release in theaters Dec. 17
