Sporshia signs two new films

A well-known face in the media industry, Orchita Sporshia came into the limelight with her telefilm ‘Impossible 5’. She has acted in over 100 TV dramas, short films and advertisements so far. With her captivating smile and charming look, she has won the hearts of the audience within a short time and her growth as an actress has been meteoric.

She has recently signed contracts for two new films titled ‘Jolkiron’ and ‘Roktomoyur’, which are to be directed by H.R Habib.

Sporshia was last seen in the Shakib Khan starrer ‘Nabab L.L.B’ where she played an important role. Apart from that, her film ‘Fire Dekha’, directed by Rojina Islam, is awaiting its release.

Sporshia told The Business Post about signing two new films, “I was approached for two films at the same time. I liked the story of these two films. Hopefully, the audience will like the films.”

‘Jolkiron’ is focused on a science-fiction based storyline. A group of scientists invent a new alternative for food, which changes the traditional social system alchemically.

“I will play the character of a teenage girl in ‘Jolkiron’. In this film, I will star opposite Nirab. I have worked with Nirab before in the film ‘Fire Dekha’. So, I have a good working relation with him. I’m very delighted to work with him again,” Sporshia said.

On the other hand, ‘Roktomoyur’ is an action film. An anti-national gang that lurks in the shadows of society wants to destroy the nation. The story of this film will revolve around a university student who tries to stop them. Sporshia will be playing the character of a young girl in this film. However, the names of other lead cast have not been revealed yet.

“The shooting of these two films will start at the end of this year hopefully,” Sporshia added,

When asked about her recent works, Sporshia shared, “I am currently working for my production house Kochchop Films. Hopefully, I will share the details about it in the next month. Apart from this, I have some films in the pipeline. But, I won’t reveal the names now. I will start shooting for those films at the end of this year or in the beginning of the next year.”

Regarding the release of her film ‘Fire Dekha’, she said, “The dubbing of this film has been completed recently. The director has a plan to release the film in December. But, it all depends on the situation of the pandemic.”
