Nirab, Puja to kick off ‘Cash’ in December

Dhallywood actors Nirab Hossain and Puja Cherry are all set to start shooting for their first-ever collaboration titled ‘Cash’ in December, nearly one year after they were signed for the film.

Directed by Saikat Nasir, the script of the film is written by Asad Zaman.

‘Cash’ marks Nirab’s second straight collaboration with director Saikat after the duo first teamed up for the thriller ‘Casino’, which remains unreleased due to the existing pandemic situation.

Having signed Nirab and Puja on December 13 last year, ‘Cash’ was expected to go on the floors in January this year which was postponed due to several reasons. “The film has faced delay as the director was busy, the producer was in Australia and the pandemic situation was worsening. We will begin the shooting in early December if the situation remains steady,” Nirab told The Business Post on Monday.

Regarding his collaboration with director Saikat Nasir in ‘Casino’, Nirab said: “It was a nice experience. I really enjoyed working on the project. He is a very good director.”

Nirab, however, declined to disclose anything about the story and his role in ‘Cash’ at this moment.

Apart from Nirab and Puja, ‘Cash’ will also star Sanj John, Farhan Khan Rio and LR Khan Simanto, among others, in various roles.

The film is produced by Faisal Azad under the banner of Swadesh Entertainment.

On the workfront, Nirab is currently busy dubbing for actor-turned-director Rozina’s ‘Phire Dekha’ and Anonno Mamun directorial ‘Omanush’ while Puja Cherry is expected to star opposite superstar Shakib Khan in SA Haque Olike’s upcoming film ‘Galui’.
