Dhallywood star Pori Moni walked out on bail 27 days after her arrest in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act. Many celebrities have responded positively after Pori was released from Kashimpur jail on Wednesday morning.
Taking his social media handle, anchor-scriptwriter Rumman Rashid Khan posted several photos of Pori Moni where she is seen waving to a crowd after coming out of jail. “Welcome back,” wrote Rumman.
Noted photographer Shahidul Alam shared a photo of Pori and captioned, “A defiant Pori Moni.”
Sharing a photo of Pori, DW journalist Arafatul Islam wrote, “I am feeling happy seeing Pori Moni released from jail. Though it’s late, she finally got the taste of freedom.”
Actress Azmeri Haque Badhon has shared several positive posts on social media about Pori Moni after her release from the jail.
Earlier, on August 4, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Pori Moni during a raid at her Banani residence and seized a huge amount of foreign liquors and different drugs. RAB filed a case against her with Banani police station under the Narcotics Control Act.
On August 13, she was sent to jail following denial of her bail plea by a Dhaka court. On August 21, she was sent back to jail following completion of her remand in the third phase.
Finally, the actress was granted bail by a Dhaka court on Tuesday afternoon.
After coming out of the jail on Wednesday, Pori Moni was seen waving to a crowd and taking selfies with them to celebrate the occasion.
