Singer Sabrina Porshi has recreated ‘Sathi Tumi Amar Jibone’, a popular song from the Salman Shah starrer 1996 movie ‘Chaowa Theke Paowa’, to pay tribute to the evergreen heartthrob of Dhallywood on the occasion of his 25th death anniversary.
The song ‘Sathi Tumi Amar Jibone’ is written and tuned by late composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. It was originally sung by late singer Khalid Hasan Milu and Kanak Chapa.
In Porshi’s version, the music is rearranged by young singer-composer Prottoy Khan.
Porshi took part in the shooting of the music video for the song for the last two days.
Sponsored by PRAN Frooto, the music video featuring Porshi herself was released on the YouTube channel of Anupam Recording Media Monday.
“September 6 marks the death anniversary of Salman Shah, who is the favourite hero of everyone. I have sung the song ‘Sathi Tumi Amar Jibone’, in a renewed style, paying tribute to the memory of him (Salman),” Porshi wrote on her Facebook profile Sunday, giving fans a sneak peek of her at the shoots.
The music video is directed by Chandan Roy Chowdhury.
A day before, Porshi appeared in a Facebook live video from the sets of the music video and made the announcement of her recreation of ‘Chaowa Theke Paowa’. “I hope you all will like the song,” she said.
