Jason Momoa reveals new ‘Aquaman’ costume

Jason Momoa took to Instagram on Sunday to reveal a new Aquaman suit for the upcoming superhero sequel, ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ reports Variety.

“Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha,” the actor wrote on Instagram, along with pictures of his suit from the first film and his new, sleek outfit for the sequel.

In addition to the classic Aquaman costume seen in the first film, Momoa posted a first look at his character’s so-called stealth suit. The skin-tight metallic suit features hints of dark blue in addition to grey detailing on his arms and thighs.

The first ‘Aquaman’ film, which was released in December 2018, grossed more than $1 billion, making it the only DC picture to do so aside from Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’ trilogy. Wan is co-producing with Peter Safran, while David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is rewriting the script.

Jason Momoa will reprise his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman in the sequel. Amber Heard will also be back as Mera, alongside Patrick Wilson as Orm, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as David Kane/Black Manta. Pilou Asbaek was also recently cast in a supporting role.

Momoa first played Aquaman as a cameo in 2016’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’. He was a co-star as the character in 2017’s ‘Justice League’.

‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.
