Oishee kicks off ‘Noor’

Actress Jannatul Ferdous Oishee has started shooting for her upcoming romantic film ‘Noor’. Directed by Raihan Rafi, the film marks her third straight collaboration with actor Arifin Shuvoo.

Confirming the news to The Business Post on Sunday, Oishee said that they kicked off the film in Pabna on Sunday and will stay there for around 20 days for the first schedule of the shooting.

The actress was recently roped in for ‘Noor’ after Shuvoo signed for the film nearly a year ago. Apart from appearing as the lead cast, Shuvoo is also playing his role as the executive producer of ‘Noor’.

Regarding teaming up again with Arifin Shuvoo, with whom she earlier co-starred in the much-anticipated film ‘Mission Extreme’, Oishee said, “As always, he is very supportive. Very energetic. I always say that he has extended his support to such a level that I couldn’t have asked for a better co-artiste in my debut film. He helped me like a mentor. He has been guiding me and helping me the same way until now.”

Oishee declined to reveal anything about her character and plot of ‘Noor’ for now and hinted that she and Shuvoo would appear in never-seen-before roles in the film. “I can only say that actor Shuvoo and I are coming out in play such roles that no one ever saw us this way,” she told The Business Post.

For Oishee, this shooting schedule marks her first trip to Pabna. The team reached the north-eastern district on Friday and spent a day preparing them before opening the shoots.

“It feels very good. The shooting has started today (Sunday). Everything is going fine. After arriving here, we have visited the locations, held a team meeting and planned the scenes,” she said.

The makers of ‘Noor’ announced the film earlier in April after bringing Shuvoo onboard and marking his first project with director Raihan Rafi. Produced by Shapla Media, the film also faced delay to go on floors due to existing Covid-19 risks.

Meanwhile, a first-look poster of ‘Noor’ was released following Shuvoo’s inclusion in the film.

Miss World Bangladesh 2018 titleholder Jannatul Ferdous Oishee made her debut with the action-thriller ‘Mission Extreme’ co-starring Arifin Shuvoo and Taskeen Rahman in lead roles. Directed jointly by Sunny Sanwar and Faisal Ahmed, the film was scheduled to release last year which was postponed due to the pandemic. Currently, Oishee is also awaiting release of her two other films titled ‘Adom’ and ‘Raat Jaaga Ful’.
