Dance artiste-turned-actress Sinthia Yasmin Nupur, who came into the limelight after winning the second runner-up title at ‘Channel i Shera Nachiye 2016’, has recently signed up for two new web series. Of two Sinthia’s web productions, ‘Mafia’ is directed by Shaheen Sumon and ‘Aura’ is directed by Tamim Parvez.
In ‘Mafia’, Sinthia will appear as the girlfriend of Shamol Mawla before he joins the underworld.
“I have played an important character opposite popular actor Shamol Mawla in ‘Mafia’. It was an amazing experience to work under the direction of Shaheen Sumon,” Sinthia told The Business Post.
Noted filmmaker Shaheen Sumon has connected love with the underworld in his new venture ‘Mafia,’ a web series that will soon be available in 150 episodes. The web series also features popular actors Mahiya Mahi and Emon, among others, in the lead roles.
On the other hand, ‘Aura’ is a horror web series directed by Tamim Parvez. It features FS Nayeem, Partha Barua, Tasnuva Tisha, Shatabdi Wadud in the lead roles. In this web series, Sinthia will be seen playing the character of a ghost.
Sinthia said about her character in ‘Aura’, “I have already completed the shooting of ‘Aura’ recently. In this horror series, I have played a ghost who possesses Tasnuva Tisha when she is pregnant. The character is very interesting.”
Primarily known as a dance artiste, Sinthia said about continuing her acting career, “Dance will always be my first love. But after acting in many dramas, I also fell in love with acting. I want to continue dance and acting together in the coming days.”
Sinthia-starrer first drama was ‘Shonar Pakhi Rupar Pakhi’ directed by Salahuddin Lavlu. She has recently completed the shooting of popular drama serial titled ‘The Director’ under the direction of the same director.
She has also acted in the dramas under the direction of Mannan Hira, Nazneen Chumki, Golam Sohrab Dodul, Arif Rahman, and several other popular directors.
Sinthia has a keen interest in cinema too. But in that case, a good storyline and the character are important to bring her on the big screen in the future.
