Star-studded ‘Holud Bani’ on Channel i tomorrow

The star-studded film ‘Holud Bani’ is scheduled to be aired on Channel i tomorrow. The film has an ensemble cast of popular Indian actors Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Paoli Dam, and audience-admired Bangladesh actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha. 

Jointly produced under the banner of Bangladesh’s Impress Telefilm and India’s Telecine and Entertainments, the film was made in 2017.  

Padmanava Dasgupta wrote the story of ‘Holud Bani’ based on Sukanta Gangopadhyay novel with the same title. The film is jointly directed by Bangladeshi filmmaker Taher Shipon and Indian filmmaker Mukul Roy Chowdhury. 

The story of the film focuses on a love triangle, revolves around a middle-class man who travels to a place called ‘holud bani’ along with a single woman in search of a job. There, his meeting with a girl would change his life completely.

Parambrata, Paoli and Tisha played three major roles--Polash, Kosturi and Onu, respectively--in the film.

‘Holud Bani’ is Paoli’s second Bangladesh-India joint venture film after ‘Moner Manush’, while Parambrata appeared in two more Bangladeshi films titled ‘Bhuban Majhi’ and ‘Voyankor Sundor’. 

On the other hand, ‘Holud Bani’ is the second joint venture film for Tisha after ‘Doob’ with celebrated Indian actor Irrfan Khan. 

‘Holud Bani’ will be aired tomorrow at 3:05 pm as part of ‘Fair & Lovely Cine Dupur’ on Channel i.
