Marking the 50th birth anniversary of late iconic Dhallywood actor Salman Shah (19 September, 1971 – 6 September, 1996), Boishakhi TV is airing special programmes today.
Musical show ‘Boishakhi Sokaler Gaan’ will be aired at 8:20am. Produced by Litu Solaiman, popular singer Agoon will perform songs from Salman Shah-starrer various films at the show.
The channel will telecast two films of Salman Shah. ‘Bikkhobh’ starring Salman Shah and Shabnoor in the lead roles will be aired at 10:25am, while ‘Prem Piyasi’ starring Salman Shah, Shabnoor and Rajib will be aired at 2:45pm.
Musical show ‘Shudhu Cinemar Gaan’ featuring songs from Salman Shah-starrer popular films will be aired at 1:20pm. Produced by Shah Alam, the show includes Salman Shah’s films like ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat’, ‘Antore Antore’, ‘Sneha’, ‘Denmohar’, ‘Tomake Chai’, ‘Swapner Thikana’, ‘Swapner Prithibi’, ‘Bikkhobh’, ‘Swapner Nayak’, ‘Ananda Ashru’, ‘Mayer Adhikar’ and ‘Satyer Mrityu Nei’.
Making his first appearance on the silver screen with the film ‘Keyamat Thekey Keyamat’ in 1993, Salman Shah sent a message to everyone that he, as a hero, came to rule the film industry. With only 27 films in four-year career, Salman Shah made a tremendous impact on the country’s film industry and successfully created a vast fanbase with his stellar performance on the big screen.
Sending shockwaves across the film industry and to his adoring fans, Salman Shah took his life and closed the chapter of his illustrious career on September 6 in 1996.
In his short career, Salman Shah acted in many popular films, including ‘Keyamat Thekey Keyamat’, ‘Antorey Antorey’, ‘Bichar Hobe’, ‘Ei ghor ei Shongshar’, ‘Jibon Shongshar’, ‘Chaowa Theke Paowa’, ‘Ananda Ashru’.
