I have been preparing myself for ‘Pritilata’ for two years: Pori Moni

Popular Dhallywood actress Pori Moni said she had been preparing herself for the titular role in ‘Pritilata’, an upcoming film based on the life of Pritilata Waddedar, who was a Bengali revolutionary nationalist from the Indian subcontinent who was influential in the Indian independence movement.

Filmmaker Rashid Polash is making the film with the screenplay written by Golam Rabbani.

Pori Moni on September 24 made the remarks at a press meet at the Manna Digital Complex of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the capital on September 24. Team ‘Pritilata’ organised the press meet marking the death anniversary of Pritilata Waddedar.

Attending the press meet, Pori Moni said, “The ‘Pritilata’ team has trusted in me. In return, I have been preparing for the character for the last two years. I believe everyone will be on our side in this journey. I don’t want to say anything about the character separately right now. All your questions will be answered on the screen.”

Apart from Pori Moni as Pritilata, the film also casts Tanvir, Mamun Biswas, Raju Khan, Afrina Bulbul, Saif Chandan, Mukul Siraji and Ripa, among others, in different roles.
