Actress-model Maimuna Momo is all set to join the shooting of director Zulfikar Zahedi’s upcoming film ‘Kagoj, The Paper’ in October.

The ensemble cast of ‘Kagoj’ includes Mamnun Emon, Airin Sultana, Elina Shammi, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Farhan Khan Rio and Shashi Afroza, among others.

Written and directed by Zulfikar Zahedi, the film is about the philosophical journey of a writer, played by Emon.

“I am going to participate in the shooting for the film from the first week of October in Manikganj’s Betila area,” said Maimuna.

“I will play a very important role in the film. At present, I am preparing myself for the film. Both the story and my character in ‘Kagoj, The Paper’ are wonderful,” the actress said further adding that she is hopeful of portraying the character very well.

She earlier acted in the films ‘Payrar Chithi’ directed by Nishith Surjo and ‘Ajob Karkhana’ directed by Shabnam Ferdous.

The actress earlier garnered praise for her appearance opposite actor Chanchal Chowdhury in the television drama ‘Dark Roasted Coffee’, directed by Ejaj Munna, which was released during last Eid-ul-Azha.

Meanwhile, Asaduzzaman Asad directed drama ‘Love in Lockdown’ starring Maimuna Momo was aired on SA TV. The drama was written by Tarek Mahmud.

Earlier this week, the actress took part in the shooting of Sajin Ahmed Babu-directed drama serial ‘Corporate Bhalobasa’. Produced by Bhaishob Productions, the serial is being aired on Nagorik TV at 10pm on every Wednesday and Thursday.

Maimuna earlier acted in drama serials ‘100 te 100’, ‘Noyon Tara Biddaloy’, ‘Mashrafe Junior’ and ‘Goray Golod’.

She started her career as a radio jockey in 2015 and later appeared in a TV commercial and a telefilm titled ‘Ayesha’ directed by filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.

‘Kagoj, The Paper’ is being produced under the banner of Addrian Films.

The film was kicked off in the capital city on September 16. Afterwards, director Zahedi on September 19 shared a video on his Facebook account from the sets of the film in Rajshahi where Emon was seen in the shooting.

‘Kagoj’ marks Emon and Airin’s second straight collaboration after the 2019 folk-fantasy film ‘Akash Mohol’.
