International Convention City Bashundhara lit up with the joy and laughter of the youngsters as the capital witnessed a live concert on Friday evening after a long time since the pandemic began.

In an attempt to bring back the country’s favourite bands on one stage, Brandmyth Communication organised the first-ever coffee carnival of Bangladesh named ‘Coffee Carnival, Dhaka’, powered by Nescafé. The event was held at ICCB’s Hall-2 named ‘Pushpoguchcho’.

Bringing the coffee community in Bangladesh to a single plateau with the concert of their favourite rock bands garnered a huge response from the people and that was proved by the crowd gathered at the event.

When the gate of the carnival was opened at 4:00pm, all the spectators entered the hall instantly. The carnival was hosted by Neel Hurerzahan.

The crowds began to grow swiftly as the evening approached. The concert featured rising and fresh bands like Encore, Arekta Rock Band, and Savagery, as well as well-known bands like Nemesis, Shironamhin, Avoid Rafa, and Artcell. To restart the gears, the lineup was really powerful.

The concert began with a mellow performance by the band ‘Encore’ with the popular song titled ‘Srotoshini’. The crowd sang along with them.

After Encore’s brilliant performance, another emerging band of the country Arekta Rock Band performed their popular songs titled ‘Chap’ and ‘Eden’. The gathering was already vibing with the bands with each of their performances.

The band ‘Savagery’ covered the popular classic song ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, Ayub Bachchu’s legendary song ‘Ghumonto Shohore’, and their original ‘Shadhinota’.

Their performance was followed by the popular rock bands Avoid Rafa, Nemesis, Shironamhin, and Artcell.

Avoid Rafa rocked the stage with their popular numbers ‘Ami Akash Pathabo’, ‘Har Kala’, ‘Anmone’ and ‘Cholo Arekbar Uri’. The crowd was blown away by AvoidRafa’s performance.

The fourth band to take the stage was Nemesis. They started their performance with their song ‘Janala’, ‘Gonojowar’, ‘Bir’, and ‘Obocheton’ with tremendous zeal.

The brilliant performance by Nemesis was followed by another popular band Shironamhin. The band rocked the crowd with their songs ‘Jadukor’, ‘Ei obelae’, ‘Abar Hashimukh’, ‘Pakhi’. They began their performance with ‘Jadukor,’ in which Sheikh Ishtiak played cymbals and Kazi Ahmed Shafin played the flute portion.

The showstopper of the carnival was Artcell. The crowd went eccentric the moment Artcell stepped onto the stage.  They performed their hit songs ‘Odekha Shorgo’, ‘Dukkho Bilash’, ‘Aniket Prantor’, ‘Poth Chola’. The concert came to an end with the song ‘Onnosomoy’. Artcell did justice to every song, bringing back the old magic and the nostalgia, leaving the stage in a state of awe and ecstasy.

In addition to the concert, the organisers also arranged a celebrity talk show titled ‘Coffee Dare’. During the programme, Rakibul Azam, CEO of Brandmyth, and Sheikh Mahdi Hasan of Brandmyth Communications handed over crests to Dan Cake and Nescafé to express their gratitude to them.

Brandmyth Communications not only presented a concert for the audience but also reunification of coffee and songs. In addition to the country’s first-class coffee shop, there were lifestyle shops and ice cream parlours during the carnival.

ABC Radio was the radio partner of the carnival while Showcase Magazine was the magazine partner, Bangladesh Band Music Fans Community (BBMFC) was the social media partner and Fiero was the wardrobe partner of the carnival.
