Kona, Tanjib coming up with new EDM duet

Singers Dilshad Nahar Kona and Tanjib Sarwar are coming up with a new duet song.

The yet-to-be-titled song is an EDM (electronic dance music) track with upbeat and club-mix sounds. It was recorded at a studio in the capital on Thursday.

Sajid Sarker, who did music for the song, told The Business Post it would be different from regular songs. “It will be released from a new record label initiated by Golam Md Iftekhar, the husband of singer Kona,” he said.

Kona shared the news on her Facebook account with a group picture captioned, ‘New song is coming soon with my favourite Sajid Sarker and Tanjib Sarwar’.

The song is penned and composed by Tanjib Sarwar while Sajid Sarker has arranged the music.

Talking to The Business Post, Kona said, “It will be a duet song with Tanjib Sarwar. The song will give the audience a new vibe. But I can’t reveal more about the song at this moment. That will be a surprise.”

Tanjib Sarwar said, “The song is completely an upbeat genre with the mix of EDM. The audience will have a new experience. The song is penned and composed by me.”

Kona last lent her voice in film ‘Galui’ featuring superstar Shakib Khan and Puja Cherry. Kona along with Imran Mahmudul sang the song titled ‘Dewa’ in the government grant-winning film directed by SA Haque Olike. Kona also lent her voice in another government grant-winning film titled ‘Pritilata’.

Tanjib Sarwar was last seen in his music video titled ‘Tui Aj Thak’ which was released in August this year. It was written and composed by Tanjib himself while the music was arranged by Mehedi Hasan Tamjid.
