The teaser of the web film titled ‘Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi’, starring Fazlur Rahman Babu and Toma Mirza and directed by ‘Poramon 2’ famed director Rayhan Rafi, has been released on OTT platform Chorki.
Although the release date is yet to be announced, the web film will be released on Chorki this month, director Rayhan confirmed to The Business Post.
The web film was shot in an abandoned factory in Rangpur. It is the story of two people, one of whom is a politician, trapped in an abandoned factory.
The teaser shows Fazlur Rahman Babu and Toma Mirza peeking out of two drums in an abandoned factory in the dark, which has created curiosity among the audience. The idea of netizens is that Raihan Rafi has gathered great chemistry with the actors in this movie.
Director Rayhan Rafi said, “It is a political thriller. I wrote the story of this film about two years ago. When everything in the country was stagnant during the Covid-induced lockdown, I wrote several stories. OTT platform Chorki has loved my story and showed interest. This is my first full-length web film.”
“Chorki gave me the full freedom to make the film as I wanted. I told them to give me a proper budget as this is a web film. They helped me in every way possible,” he added.
When asked about the response of the teaser from the audience, he replied, “We have been getting a massive response from the audience. They are sharing the teaser on social media. I just hope people will like our film because this is a unique story and very different from my usual work.”
Besides Babu and Toma in the lead role, the film has an ensemble cast of Intekhab Dinar, Nasiruddin, and Sumon Anwar among others.
