Director Arun Chowdhury’s upcoming film starring actress-model Rafiath Rashid Mithila and FS Nayeem in lead roles has started filming from Thursday.

The first schedule of the shooting began in Manikganj with Mithila and Nayeem on the sets.

Confirming the news to The Business Post, FS Nayeem said, “The reason I signed up for this film is I really liked its story. The story of ‘Jole Jole Tara’ is very simple yet beautiful and unique. The character I am playing is different from my usual look. I have rehearsed for the character for months. I can only say that the audience didn’t see me this way before.”

Regarding his collaboration with Mithila, he said, “Mithila has grown up into a brilliant actor in recent years. Since she is doing Tollywood films, her maturity level in acting is now visible. It feels great to have her as a co-artiste. I have worked with her before on the small screen. We have got a good chemistry”.

“We have rehearsed together for ‘Jole Jole Tara’. I hope the audience will really like the film because it has all the good actors and they are doing really great,” the actor said further.

According to Nayeem, Mithila is playing the title role ‘Tara’ in the film. The story of the film is inspired by the short story ‘Keraya’ by noted writer-playwright Syed Waliullah.

‘Jole Jole Tara’ won government grants for the fiscal year 2020-21. It marks FS Nayeem’s first big screen project in a decade after his appearance in Khijir Hayat Khan directorial ‘Jaago’ in 2010.

After a long career on the small screen, Mithila made her film debut last year with Anonno Mamun’s ‘Amanush’. The film is awaiting its release.

She recently joined three Tollywood films, Rajarshi De’s ‘Maya’, Ringo’s ‘A River in Heaven’ and Arunav Khasanbish’s ‘Nitishastro’.

Iffat Arifin Tonni has written the screenplay of ‘Jole Jole Tara’.

Along with Mithila and Nayeem, the film has ensemble cast of Fazlur Rahman Babu, Azad Abul Kalam, Monira Akhter Mithu, Mostafizur Nur Imran, Iqbal, Shokh and Obid Rehan, among others.

Kumar Bishwajit and Imran Mahmudul are expected to do playback in the film.
