Bangladeshi filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s ‘Rickshaw Girl’ has won the top prize at the Schlingel International Film Festival 2021 held in Germany.

The film has won the SLM Top Award in the Junior Film category as the names of the awardees were announced on the closing night of the festival on Saturday.

‘Rickshaw Girl’ portrays the story of Naima, who wants to earn money for her poor family but finds that her artistic talent is useless in reality. Starring Novera Ahmed in the lead character, it also has Naresh Bhuiyan, Allen Shubhro Gomes, Momena Chowdhury and Champa in various other roles.
