Nusraat Faria coming with new song ‘Habibi’

Actress Nusraat Faria, who made her singing debut with the song ‘Pataka’ in 2018, is now coming with a new song titled ‘Habibi’.

She dropped a teaser of the music video on her verified Facebook page on Saturday night. The title and the teaser hinted that its music has an Arabic touch.

'Habibi' is composed by Adib Kabir with the lyrics written by Nur Nabi. The music video was shot at a palace located around 100 kilometres away from Mumbai in India, under the direction and choreography of Baba Yadav with whom Faria earlier collaborated in 'Ami Chai Thakte'. 

"A song I have put my heart and soul into.." she wrote about 'Habibi' sharing its official poster on Facebook.

'Habibi' is expected to be released on the YouTube channel of SVF on November 2.

In April 2018, Nusraat Faria released her first song ‘Pataka’, for which she collaborated with singer-composer Pritom Hasan. Written by Rakib Hasan Rahul, the song had its music directed by Pritom.

Pataka’s music video featuring Nusraat Faria was viewed over 16 lakh times on the YouTube channel of India’s SVF and over 82 lakh times on the YouTube channel of CMV of Bangladesh. Pataka’s music video was directed and choreographed by Baba Yadav.

Faria drew attention of her fans unleashing her singing talent and also her dancing skills in 'Pataka'.

Two years later, she came with her second song ‘Ami Chai Thakte’ along with acatchy music video, which was released under the banner of SVF. The song was in the voice of Faria along with Bangladeshi-Canadian rapper Master D. It was written by Syed Atiq. The music video starring both Faria and Master D was made under the direction and choreography of Baba Yadav.

‘Ami Chai Thakte’, meanwhile, has crossed 17,536,630 views on YouTube. The track was also released on several audio-streaming platforms like iTunes, Hungama, Wynk, JioSaavn, Amazon Music and Spotify.

In April this year, the actress once again lent her voice for a duet song titled ‘Katey Na, Katey Na’. In the voice of Nusraat Faria and Ishan Mitra, the song was made under the music direction of Amlaan A Chakraborty. The song was written by Shomeswar Oli.

‘Katey Na, Katey Na’ was a playback number of ZEE5 Original film ‘Jodi Kintu Tobuo’ co-starring Nusraat Faria and Ziaul Faruq Apurba in the lead roles. Directed by Shihab Shaheen, the web film was released on the over-the-top platform on April 1. Both Faria and Apurba garnered praise for their performances in the romantic comedy.

Nusraat Faria started her career in acting with the film ‘Aashiqui’ in 2015. She was last seen along with Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan in the film ‘Shahenshah’ in 2020.

Currently, the actress is preparing to finish shooting for the ‘Bangabandhu’ biopic in November where she will portray the role of Sheikh Hasina co-starring actors Arifin Shuvoo, Riaz Ahmed, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, among others.
