Leading South Asian streaming service and OTT platform ZEE5 has dropped the trailer of its first Original Drama Series titled ‘E Emon Porichoy’, featuring actors like Shamol Mawla, Aisha Khan, Shahiduzzaman Selim, and Rosey Siddique.
‘E Emon Porichoy’ is the first ever long-series format drama for the market. In this new format, each season will have 20 episodes which will be released periodically, ZEE5 Global said in a press release issued Tuesday.
The drama serial narrates the story of Nayantara who reaches the famous Mirza House in Dhaka to avenge her brother’s death. Afterwards, things take an unexpected turn when she begins to fall in love with her brother’s suspected murderer Rudra and encounters a contradictory secret about her brother’s murder, taking her down a different road. The love story-political thriller is bound to be a hit with viewers across the globe.
With a vision of growing “Stronger Together”, ZEE5 collaborates with local production houses and talented Bangla artistes to bring handpicked Bangla stories to life and takes them onto the global stage through making them available across 190+ countries.
ZEE5’s previous Bangladeshi Originals such as ‘Contract’, ‘Mainker Chipay’ and ‘Jodi Kintu Tobuo’ have been well received by audiences. Its latest Original web series ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ directed by celebrated filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki garnered a very positive response.
