With the slogan ‘Better Films, Better Audience, Better Society’, the 20th edition of Dhaka International Film Festival will be held in Dhaka from January 15 to January 23, 2022 organised by Rainbow Film Society.
Noted filmmaker Zahir Raihan’s documentary film ‘Stop Genocide’ has been featured in the official poster of this year’s festival.
The festival will feature films under Asian Film Competition section, Retrospective section, Tribute section, Wide Angle section, Bangladesh Panorama section, Cinema of the World section, Children’s Films section, Spiritual Films section, Short and Independent Film section and Women Filmmakers’ section.
According to the official sources of DIFF, the submission of the films for the festival is over. Now the movies are being submitted to the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB).
The films of this year’s festival will be screening at the main auditorium of the National Museum and Poet Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Shawkat Osman Memorial Auditorium of the Central Public Library, National Gallery and Dance Auditorium of Shilpakala Academy, Alliance Française Auditorium, Madhumita Cinema Hall, Bashundhara City and Shimanto Square branches of Star Cineplex.
