Director Nurul Alam Atiq’s long-awaited film ‘Lal Moroger Jhuti’, which started filming in 2016, has received the censor clearance on Sunday.
The film is expected to be released in the first week of December marking the 50 years of independence of Bangladesh, said its makers in a press release issued Monday.
“The long wait has come to an end. We want to let a lot of people watch the film,” said Atiq.
‘Lal Moroger Jhuti, which won the government grants for the fiscal year 2014-15, was filmed in various locations of Kushtia, Tangail and Gauripur from 2016, based on a 1971 Liberation War based story.
Produced under the banner of Pandulipi Karkhana, the film has Laila Hasan, Ahmed Rubel, Ashna Habib Bhabna, Ashok Bepari, Ashish Khandaker, Shilpi Sarker, Ilora Gowhar, Jyotika Jyoti, Dilruba Doyel, Swagata and Joyraj, among others.
