Dhallywood actor Arifin Shuvoo turns as a rap singer for the promotion of his much-hyped action film ‘Mission Extreme’. The film is scheduled to release countrywide on December 3.
Meanwhile, Shuvoo has lent his vocal for the song, titled ‘Action Rap’, with the composition done by Adit Rahman and the lyrics penned by rapper Black Zang.
Arefin Shuvoo has confirmed the news to The Business Post on Wednesday.
He said, “Rap song, as a genre, is completely different from any other genre. This has been a completely new experience for me. I have no idea of the emotion and the vocal expression of rap song. The credit goes to the music director Adit. He influenced me to sing the song. It was recorded in a span of some 5/6 days. I think the audience will love the rap.”
“I did the rap as a representation of rebellious nature, aggressiveness and boldness — the elements of my upcoming film ‘Mission Extreme’,” he added.
Asked about the idea of doing the rap song just for the promotion of the film, Shuvoo replied, “Rap song as a promotional campaign of a film is quite new in Bangladesh. But in this film, we have spent a lot of money in making the song and the music video. This song will not be used in the film. This is just for giving audience a vibe that ‘Mission Extreme’ is releasing soon.”
“I have transformed my whole look for ‘Mission Extreme’. I could have done the film easily in my average look but I didn’t do that. I prepared myself for 9 months. We all were honest with the film. I hope the audience will come to the theatres to watch the film,” said the actor.
This is not the first time that Arifin Shuvoo is unleashing his singing talent. He entertained his fans by lending his voice to the song ‘Sohe Na Jotona’ in the movie ‘Agni’ which was released in 2014. Shuvoo also released another original song titled ‘Monta Bojhe Na’ on his YouTube channel in May last year.
‘Mission Extreme’, co-directed by Faisal Ahmed and Sunny Sanwar, features a star-studded cast of Arifin Shuvoo, Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, Sadia Nabila, Taskeen Rahman and Sumit Sengupta. The long-awaited cop action thriller was cleared by the censor board on Tuesday to hit theatres on December 3.
