Bangladeshi actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila is expected to join the cast of Tollywood director Sauvik Kundu’s upcoming film ‘Aay Khuku Aay’ co-starring actor Prosenjit Chatterjee.
Prosenjit and Ditipriya Roy will be seen playing two pivotal roles in the film.
Makers of the film are scheduled to start filming ‘Aay Khuku Aay’ from Monday, reports Hindustan Times.
“The script is beautiful and everyone will be able to relate to it. My character has a striking double role and is something that I haven’t played before,” Prosenjit earlier told the Indian media.
‘Aay Khuku Aay’ is the story of a father-daughter relationship which was announced in September.
Meanwhile, the official logo of the film was revealed at the launching ceremony of the film on Friday.
Sohini Sengupta, Satyam Bhattacharya, Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Shankar Debnath and Rahul Dev Bose are among the cast.
The movie will have a new version of the much-hit song ‘Aay Khuku Aay’ by Hemanta Mukherjee and Srabanti Majumdar. The song is expected to be sung by Srikanta Acharya in the composition by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee.
‘Aay Khuku Aay’will be produced by actor Jeet along with Gopal Madani and Amit Jumrani under the banner of Jeet Filmworks.
Sauvik Kundu directed Abir Chatterjee and Rukmini Maitra in the film ‘Switzerland’ which was released in 2020.
As for Rafiath Rashid Mithila, the actress is set to make his debut in Tollywood with the Raajhoshree De directorial ‘Maya’, a dark film based on William Shakespeare’s ‘Macbeth’. Currently, she has also Ringo Banerjee’s ‘A River in Heaven’ in the pipeline.
Mithila co-stars with actor Nirab Hossain in her first film in Dhallywood, titled ‘Amanush’. The Anonno Mamun directorial is currently awaiting its release. After that, Mithila has recently completed the shooting of Arun Chowdhury directed film ‘Jole Jole Tara’ co-starring FS Nayeem.
