Tollywood actress Koushani Mukherjee has resumed shooting for her new Bangladeshi film ‘Piya Re’ in Chandpur, starring opposite Dhallywood actor Shanto Khan.
The film’s producer Selim Khan told The Business Post on Friday, “Koushani left Kolkata for Dhaka at 3pm. She is now in Chandpur to shoot for the film. Hopefully, she will be in Bangladesh until the shooting ends.”
“Koushani will participate in the film’s shooting at different locations in Chandpur and in Bandarban too. Apart from Koushani, popular Tollywood actors Rajtav Dutt and Kharaj Mukherjee will also join shooting for this film.”
Pujan Majumder is directing the film under the banner of Shapla Media.
Koushani had visited Bangladesh in September for the first phase of the shooting. Previously, she appeared in ‘Lag Velki Lag’ and ‘Chuti’ opposite Bonny Sengupta. The films are directed by Shamim Ahmed Rony and produced by Shapla Media International.
Koushani Mukherjee is an Indian actress turned politician, who began her film career in 2015 with the film titled ‘Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey,’ directed by Raj Chakraborty.
