Singer-songwriter Xefer Rahman has collaborated with Bangladeshi-American musician Muza for a new pop anthem song titled ‘Nei Proyojon,’ which will be released under the banner of Qinetic Music today.
Confirming this to The Business Post on Friday, she said, “The song is different from my other songs. It is basically a pop song with Bangla and English lyrics. I hope the audience will like our efforts and listen to it.
“I can say for certain that the song is very audience friendly. After listening to this song, they will groove to the music.”
Xefer and Muza co-wrote the lyrics for this song, which then Muza tuned and composed.
Muza won the hearts of Bangladeshi audience with the song ‘Noya Daman.’ He is known for his fusion of Bengali folk songs with rock music instruments, which made his songs more relatable to the youth.
Both Xefer and Muza took to social media to share the song’s poster featuring Xefer in a funky outfit.
Regarding the first collaboration with Muza, Xefer said, “I have known Muza for a long time. But this is the first time I worked with him. It was really fun and exciting. We have been preparing for the song and music video for quite some time. Finally, it is here. I am feeling very happy.”
Xefer Rahman, who is loved by her fans for her renditions of many English songs and also her hairstyle and fashion sense, lent her voice for a song titled ‘Harbo Na’ in the film ‘No Dorai’ directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu.
The song was written by Rakib Hasan Rahul and jointly tuned by Xefer and Mark Don. Mark Don also did the music for that song.
Talking about her latest projects, Xefer said, “I am working on new songs, and hopefully I will announce them soon. I am hoping to be more consistent in my music career in the near future. There is that one complaint from my fans that I do not release new songs often. I am planning to work on that.”
Xefer recently teamed up with emerging rock band ‘Arekta Rock Band’ for the song ‘Ojana,’ which was released on YouTube in October.
