‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to clash with ‘KGF 2’ at box office

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is slated to hit the theatres in India on April 14 instead of Valentine’s Day, the makers announced on Saturday, reports NDTV.

Aamir Khan Productions, the banner behind the project, shared the new release date on its official Twitter page along with a new poster featuring Aamir and female lead of the movie, Kareena Kapoor Khan.

“We are happy to share our new poster and our new release date LaalSingh on Baisakhi,” the tweet read.

Meanwhile, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, both the films are slated to release on the same day.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the news of the films’ clash at the box office and he tweeted: “The big clash... 14 April 2022 will witness the clash of the two biggies:Laal Singh Chaddha and KGF2... Aamir Khan versus Yash.”

The film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official remake of 1994 Hollywood blockbuster ‘Forrest Gump’ featuring Tom Hanks. The Hindi version is directed by Advait Chandan, who earlier worked with Aamir in ‘Secret Superstar’ in 2017.
