Bidya Sinha Mim roped in for ‘Pathe Holo Dekha’

Actress Bidya Sinha Mim has been roped in for director Abu Raihan Jewel’s upcoming romantic film ‘Pathe Holo Dekha’. Who will join her as the male lead is yet to be finalised.

Mim signed her contract for the film on November 20, she confirmed The Business Post on Tuesday.

In the love story, she will be seen playing the character Prarthana who is a wealthy family girl and raised by her guardians amidst a restricted lifestyle and mostly tying indoors. One fine day, the girl leaves her home to get the taste of freedom. Thus progresses the story.

Mim told The Business Post that ‘Pathe Holo Dekha’, for its pure romantic storyline, is going to be the first such project in her film career.     

With the story and script authored by Jakaria Showkhin, ‘Pathe Holo Dekha’ will be produced by Master Communication. It is expected to go on floors in February end in various locations of Dhaka, Bandarban, Sylhet, Panchagarh and Thaukgaon.

Director Abu Raihan Jewel said that the male lead of the film will be announced soon.

Jewel is currently awaiting the release of his much-anticipated directorial ‘Adventure of Sundarban’ featuring Pori Moni and Siam Ahmed in the major role, which faced delay by the pandemic.

‘Adventure of Sundarban’ is an adaptation of celebrated writer Muhammad Jafor Iqbal’s teen novel ‘Ratul-er Raat Ratul-er Din’ that won the government grants for the fiscal year 2018-19.

Bidya Sinha Mim recently grabbed headlines after securing her spot in the list of top taxpaying individuals for the second consecutive time, along with Tahsan Khan and four other performers.

The former Lux Channel i Superstar got engaged with banker Soni Podder in November after being in love with him for around six years.

On the career front, Mim is gearing up to complete her part of shooting in Dipankar Dipan’s upcoming cyber-thriller ‘Antarjal’ where she will be playing the role of an IT specialist. She has ‘Damal’ and ‘Poran’ lined up for release.
