Director Rezwan Shahriar Sumit was very emotional on the premier night as his 7-year long journey in the form of ‘Nonajoler Kabbo’ has finally come to an end and is now open for the audience all over the country.
“Film is an integral part of me and I have grown with it. This film has been highly acclaimed in different parts of the world including COP26. We have recently completed 3 sessions of coastal screening in Patuakhali. All of those were successful events,” he said.
“The film is made on the life of the fishing community and they were the first ones to watch it in the country. They were as emotional to see the story of their lives unfold on screen as I was. I sincerely hope the movie lovers of Bangladesh appreciate my first feature film. They will come to theatres and watch it,” he added.
The film is based on the lives of a group of fishermen in the country’s coastal area and their struggles to survive amid various adversities.
