Actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Shanarei Devi Shanu have joined hands after almost ten years for a single-episode television drama marking the upcoming Valentine’s Day. The title of the project is yet to be finalised.
Directed by Mohidul Mohim, the upcoming family drama also stars actor-director Sohel Arman along with Shanu and Apurba.
“Filming of the drama has not been completed yet. We are scheduled to release it on YouTube on the occasion of Valentine’s Day in 2022,” Shanu told The Business Post on Saturday.
Ziaul Faruq Apurba, considered as one of the most successful TV actors in the past years, was last seen collaborating with the former Lux Channel i Superstar Shanarei Devi Shanu in Meher Afroz Shaon directed drama serial ‘Kobi’.
Mostly known for her appearance in TV productions, Shanu emerged as a writer with the publication of her poetry collection ‘Nil Foring’ at the Ekushey Book Fair in 2017. She has four novels, five poetry books and a teen fiction to her credit.
Her books include ‘Nil Phoring’, ‘Laal Epitaph’, ‘Tribhuj’, ‘Asomoyer Chirkut’, ‘Ekla Akash’ and ‘Amar Ekta Tui Chai’.
Shanu recently hit headlines after collaborating with singer-composer Hridoy Khan in his latest single ‘Shunno Hridoy’. With the lyrics penned by Shanu, the song was released in the voice of Hridoy on his YouTube channel in early November. Its music and composition were also done by Hridoy.
