Ranveer set to showcase India’s ‘greatest story, glory’

The makers released a new poster for ‘83’ on Sunday, with Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and his team, dressed in their jerseys and smiling heartily. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, reports NDTV.

Based on the Indian cricket team’s iconic world cup win in the year 1983, the film is helmed by filmmaker Kabir Khan.

Ranveer Singh, sharing the poster on social media, added a quoted by Kapil Dev and he wrote: “Like people says, taste the success once... tongue want more. - Kapil Dev, 1983.”

The actor also reminded his fans that the film’s trailer will release on November 30.

The teaser of the film released on social media on last week, which showcased Kapil Dev’s iconic catch that dismissed West Indies’ Viv Richards during the 1983 cricket World Cup at the Lords stadium.

Ranveer Singh wrote: “The story behind India’s greatest victory. The greatest story. The greatest glory.”

The film will finally hit the screens in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam on December 24.

As of now, Ranveer is busy with the shoot of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. He has his third collaboration with Rohit Shetty, titled ‘Cirkus’.
