‘Mission Extreme’ gains popularity abroad

As the popularity of the much-talked cop action thriller, ‘Mission Extreme’ featuring Arefin Shuvoo in the lead role is increasing in New York, Australia, and France, the theaters have already announced that they will run the film for the second week and increase the number of the shows.

The film was released in Bangladesh and four countries in the West and Oceania region on December 3.

Jamaica Multiplex authorities in New York have announced that the film will run in the theatre for the straight second week.

In this regard, Raj Hamid, a distributor in the United States, said, “ Second week of a film in this theatre means that it is considered a ‘super hit’ in the United States. Because all the big films in the world are released here. We have got the permission to run for the second week in this theatre by competing with 2 Disney films and Bollywood film ‘Antim’.”

The film is running successfully in several cities in New York, including Regal Astoria and Regal Court, and San Francisco.

Mission Extreme also gained popularity in France.

The French distributor of the film, Rabbani Khan said, “The film has been allotted six shows for the first week from December 3 at the Gomon multiplex in Paris. As the audiences are loving the film, they have allocated 31 shows for the second week, which has reduced the number of shows for the Bollywood film ‘Antim’. We are very excited after receiving this news on Monday. Honestly, the film has received a huge response from the audience here.”

Tanim-Al Minarul Mannan, Australia-New Zealand distributor, said moviegoers are watching the movie in a festive mood. The film is screening in Sydney as well as the capital Canberra. Having 60 to 70 per cent audience of in each show is considered as houseful even in this Covid situation.”

The film’s plot is based on some of the operations of Bangladesh Police’s Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit, a specialised branch designed to combat terrorism and transnational crimes.

The film has its story, screenplay, and direction done by Sunny Sanwar.

The film has an ensemble cast of Raisul Islam Asad, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shatabdi Wadud, and Iresh Zaker among many others.
