My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission hits Star Cineplex

Japanese animated superhero film ‘My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission’ is going to be screened at all four brunches of Star Cineplex from tomorrow.

‘My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission’ is the part of the popular animation series ‘My Hero Academia’ and third film based on ‘My Hero Academia’ manga series by Kōhei Horikoshi.

Produced by Bones, the film is directed by Kenji Nagasaki with the screenplay written by Yōsuke Kuroda. It stars Daiki Yamashita, Nobuhiko Okamoto and Yuki Kaji as part of an ensemble cast.

The story of the film starts in the heroes’ winter internship. The mystery organization ‘Humarise’ is planning to annihilate every human with ‘Quirks’. To save them, Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, and other U.A. High students gather with Pro Heroes to form ‘The World-Selected Hero Team’, to save this world crisis, as the time is ticking towards the end of the world.

The series has also inspired numerous spin-off manga, such as ‘My Hero Academia: Smash!!’, ‘My Hero Academia: Vigilantes’ and ‘My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions’, as well as an anime television series by Bones.

The film premiered in Japan on August 6 and was released in the United States and Canada on October 29. It received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $41 million worldwide.

A special premiere show for ‘My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission’ was held in Star Cineplex’s Mohakahli branch on Thursday.
