Bubly, Symon, Milon join ‘Maya’

Actors Anisur Rahman Milon, Symon Sadik and Shabnam Bubly have joined the cast of director Jashim Uddin Jakir’s upcoming film ‘Maya’.

The announcement of the latest casting came Wednesday, around fifteen days after Roshan was roped in for the film in November.

‘Maya’ will be produced by Alinur Ashiq Bhuiyan under the banner of Brothers Production House. Director Jashim Uddin Jakir has written the script, screenplay and dialogue of the film.

Makers of the film have shared a first look poster of the film and several photos from the signing events on the official Facebook page of Brothers Production House.

Actor Symon Sadik told The Business Post that ‘Maya’ is a love story where he will be seen playing the role of a businessman. The shooting of the film will begin on February 1, he said.

On Thursday, Symon was shooting for the last schedule of his other film ‘Gangster’ at the erstwhile Dhaka Central Jail on Nazimuddin Road in the capital on Thursday and the last couple of days shoot are left, the actor informed.

‘Maya’ marks the third straight collaboration of Ziaul Roshan and Shabnam Bubly after Asif Iqbal Jewel directed film ‘Chokh’ which was released in October and Mohammad Iqbal’s upcoming film ‘Revenge’.

Actress Shabnam Bubly recently hit headlines after winning the Best Actress at the 19th Dhallywood Film and Music Awards that took place in New York of the US on December 4. On the work front, she has the upcoming romantic-comedy ‘Talash’ directed by Saikat Nasir and ‘Koyla’ by Saif Chandan.
