Actress Orchita Sporshia has started her own business venture with the launching of her very won online clothing store named ‘Touch By Sporshia’ on her birthday on Wednesday.
The launching ceremony took place at a restaurant in the capital’s Ashulia.
Women’s clothing and jewellery items will be available for sale at ‘Touch By Sporshia’, according to the actress.
At the launching ceremony, Sporshia said, “Through this initiative, my life has started anew. I have never wanted to restrict myself to only being an entertainer or an artiste. I have wanted to be an entrepreneur. I would like to continue some more non-commercial ventures which would benefit the disadvantaged people in the country.”
At the same event, the actress also opened up about her career in acting. “I have been in the media industry for 12 years. I took a break from TV dramas since 2016 with a prior announcement. I am also doing films very selectively as I have repeatedly felt that I am not fit in this place. I always felt the urge to do something outside acting. I was sure that if I do anything, it will be with saree because I love saree. Finally, I have started working on my dreams,” she said.
The actress was last seen in the movie ‘Nabab LLB’ alongside superstar Shakib Khan in the lead role. Sporshia was applauded for her character in the films titled ‘Kathbirali’ and ‘Abar Boshonto’. Recently, she has completed the first schedule shooting of her upcoming film ‘Khoma Nei’ with three more films in her hand.
Talking about her acting life, Sporshia said, “My position on acting is still the same. I love acting. I will not work in the future unless I get any script, director or production as per my choice. I am absolutely sure about that.”
A number of actors faced controversy involving their collaboration with e-commerce businesses in recent times. On the occasion of launching ‘Touch By Sporshia’, Sporshia said, “Definitely everything we are doing is happening with 100 per cent transparency. One of the main targets of this initiative is to stand by the neglected children in society. Making a profit is not our main target.”
Ten per cent of the profit share of ‘Touch By Sporshia’ will be donated to a foundation called ‘Alokito Shishu’, which works for disadvantaged children, the actress announced.
