Singer-musician Habib Wahid has released a brand-new EDM song titled ‘Dhoasha’, which he feels has become one of his most experimental songs in recent years.

“Dhoasha is completely an experimental song. I can say that it is the most experimental song of mine in the past years,” Habib told The Business Post on Thursday.

“This has been completely a western-style and electronic-music fusion track. I have also executed a very experimental vocal delivery in it,” he said.

‘Dhoasha’ was released on the singer’s YouTube channel on Thursday night. The lyrics was written by Rakib Hasan Rahul while the voice, music and composition were done by Habib.

While talking about the latest release, Habib Wahid also shared his diverse experiments on music. “Time to time, I try to do experiment on various sounds to see how the audience react to it. It is very difficult to get their feedback, unless I provide them with experimental works,” he said.

The singer also opened up about being abstain from producing music videos, unlike the preceding years.

“If I talk about making music, many ideas come across my mind and if I think about videos for all of them, it will not happen in fact. Therefore, I am putting more focus on audio songs. Audio streaming apps are gradually gaining popularity in Bangladesh. The giant company Spotify has launched in Bangladesh which is an indication that the demand for audio streaming apps would increase more here in the future,” said Habib.

He further said, “As a music composer, whenever any idea comes across my mind, I try to do experiment with various types of genres, sounds and lyrics also. I love to do voice experiments as well.”

“As I am doing songs based on my YouTube channel, I don’t have to think much about the commercial success of my songs.

But, when I do songs for any other channels or any company, it becomes a responsibility for me to pull the return on the investment. In that case, I have to think about commercial values of songs and consequently, I cannot do the experiment based on someone else’s investment.”

Regarding his shift to audio version, the musician further said, “Throughout the year 2021, I did only audios. My last music video came out in the last year. It is a clear indication that I am focusing more on audios. I will do music videos time to time, not so frequent, as a gift for the audience.”

“As a music composer, I would like to focus more on audios next year, like this year. Only then, it will be possible to execute more and more songs for the audience,” Habib added further.
