Marvel Studios debuted the teaser trailer and poster for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ on Thursday. The teaser is a thrilling ride through the Multiverse with Doctor Strange, his trusted friend Wong and Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch.
Audiences of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ saw the return of a fan-favorite character in the buildup of the new film ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
The new trailer ends with Strange coming back to face with a variant of himself that clearly comes from another timeline and certainly isn’t a good guy.
Set to continue the story arc that began in Wanda Vision (and that will continue in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’), the highly anticipated Doctor Strange sequel will follow the titular sorcerer supreme as he attempts to bring order to the multiverse once and for all.
An official synopsis of the film has yet to be released but the tagline goes, “The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little.”
The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Xochitl Gomez. Directed by Sam Raimi, ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ opens in US theatres on May 6, 2022.
