Shironamhin, one of the prominent rock bands in the country, has announced yearlong activities and concerts to celebrate its 25 years milestone, in collaboration with Brandmyth Communication.

As part of the celebration, Shironamhin will be collaborating with a Mumbai-based orchestra team, who has earlier collaborated with world-famous bands like Metallica and Scorpions.

“This will be the first time in the history of Bangladesh where Shironamhin will be collaborating with a symphony orchestra team. The band will visit Mumbai twice or thrice to practice with them,” Ziaur Rahman, founding member of Shironamhin, said at a press conference held at the Brandmyth Communication office on Saturday.

“It’s going to be once in blue moon opportunity” for their fans to witness the collaboration, he said.

On the occasion of celebrating Silver Jubilee, Shironamhin has redesigned their website and also launched their fanbase website named ‘Shironamhin Jahaji’.

Besides, an artwork hunt ‘Aro Ekti Janala,’ was also launched in which participants can express their feelings and affection for the band through their artworks. They have chances to win exclusive prizes, concert tickets and other surprises by their participation in it.

A cover song competition will be a chuck of the celebrations where music admirers from different corners of the country will cover popular songs of Shironamhin to win surprising gifts.

Shironamhin was founded in 1996. The band’s debut album, ‘Jahaji,’ was released in 2004 and was a huge hit. Their other albums include ‘Ichchhe Ghuri’ in 2006, ‘Bondho Janala’ in 2009, ‘Rabindranath’ in 2010, and ‘Shironamhin’ in 2013.

The current lineup of the band is-- Ziaur Rahman in bass and cello, Kazy Ahmad Shafin in drums and sarod, Diat Khan in guitar, Sheikh Ishtiaque in vocal and Symon Chowdhury in the keyboard.

At the press conference on Saturday, the organisers said that they will be hiring the best sound panel, sound engineer, photo and videographer for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the band. Besides, light and fire shows will also be arranged during the performance of Shironamhin.

However, Brandmyth Communication has earned a reputation in recent times by hosting two successful concerts named ‘Coffee Carnival’ and ‘November Rain’ in Dhaka last year.
