Mim ties the knot

Model and actress Bidya Sinha Saha Mim tied the knot with her fiancé Sony Poddar in an intimate ceremony at the Radisson hotel in the capital on Tuesday.

Six years ago, the couple met through a common friend and developed a friendship that later evolved into love.

Earlier, Mim announced her engagement with Sony Poddar by sharing pictures of the ceremony on social media on November 12, which was also her birthday. 

“All of my smiles started with you 6 years back. Today is a very special day, today is the beginning of forever. A beginning of a new chapter. Finally Engaged,” she captioned the pics.

In the pictures, Mim was seen in a gorgeous and embroidered silverish gown, paired with a spectacular diamond and emerald necklace and matching earrings, while Soni was seen complimenting her in his black velvet tuxedo.

Sony Poddar is hailed from Cumilla and is a banker.

The engagement ceremony was attended by many film personalities including Ferdous, Purnima, Irfan Sajjad, Shajol Noor and Raihan Rafi were present at that engagement ceremony.

Mim started her career by winning the crown of Lux Channel i Superstar in 2007.

She made her film debut with the film ‘Amar Ache Jol’ directed by Humayun Ahmed. Mim is currently working on the films titled ‘Ittefaq’ and ‘Antarjal’. Her films ‘Damal’ and ‘Paran’ are awaiting their release.
