Actress Puja Cherry calls her upcoming release film ‘Shaan’ one of the best films in her career for which she had to wait for three years. The release of the film has been postponed in an announcement on Wednesday. ‘Shaan’ was scheduled to hit theatres on January 7.
“I think ‘Shaan’ will be one of the best movies in my career. I have been waiting for almost three years for this. Come and see the film ‘Shan’ in theatres with your spouse or girlfriend. I mean bring your family,” she said at a press meet which was arranged by the ‘Shaan’ team as part of its promotional campaign.
The press meet took place at a restaurant in the capital’s Banglamotor area on Tuesday night.
The event was attended by the director of the film, M Raahim, Siam Ahmed, Puja Cherry, Misha Sawdagar, Wahidur Rahman and M Atiqur Rahman. Alimullah Khokon, CEO of Jaaz Multimedia, actor Nader Chowdhury and other crew of the film including Chief DOP Shaheen were also present.
Inspired by actual events, the film’s story revolves around the life of an honest police officer named Shaan played by Siam on the screen.
The script and the dialogues of ‘Shaan’ are co-written by Azad Khan and Nazim Ud Daula. The film is produced by Wahidur Rahman and M Atiqur Rahman under the banner of Filman Productions.
Along with Siam and Puja, ‘Shaan’ also features Champa, Aruna Biswas, Syed Hasan Imam and Misha Sawdagar, among others.
Through ‘Shaan’, the audience will get to see Siam and Puja together after three years. They earlier shared screened in the films ‘Poramon 2’ and ‘Dohon’ which released in 2018.
