Mim postpones honeymoon after Covid hits family

Bidya Sinha Saha Mim and Sony Poddar, who got married on January 4, have postponed their plan to go on a honeymoon in the Maldives after Mim’s husband Sony and also her father tested positive for Covid-19.

The couple also had to cancel a post-wedding reception which was scheduled to take place in the capital on January 15.

Mim told The Business Post, “As Sony is diagnosed with Covid-19, we had to cancel our honeymoon in the Maldives. Hopefully, we can go there next month if he recovers in the meantime. We have canceled our post wedding reception too. We will do it in February. Moreover, I am busy with my shooting schedules right now. Please keep us in your prayer.”

Model and actress Bidya Sinha Mim tied the knot with her fiance Sony Poddar in an intimate ceremony at the Radisson hotel on January 4. The newlyweds were scheduled to leave Dhaka for the Maldives on January 11 for their honeymoon.   

Six years ago, the couple met through a common friend and developed a friendship that later evolved into love.

Mim started her career by winning the crown of Lux Channel i Superstar in 2007.

Mim is currently working on the films ‘Ittefaq’ and ‘Antarjal’. Her films ‘Damal’ and ‘Poran’ are awaiting their release.
