‘Natnandan Natyotsab’ underway in Chittagong

Weeklong drama festival titled ‘Natnandan Natyotsab 2022’ started from Tuesday and will end on Monday in Chittagong Shilpakala Academy under the slogan ‘Sampritir Jagaran, Natoke Anneshan’ organised by Dhaka’s theatre troup ‘Natnondon’ .

The festival was inaugurated by Golam Kuddus, President of Bangladesh Group Theater Federation. The inaugural function was presided over by presided over by playwright-director and actor Asma Akhtar Liza.

The inaugural speeches were given by Shishir Dutta, playwright-director, Moslem Uddin Sikder, presidium member of Chittagong division of Bangladesh Group Theater Federation, Saiful Alam, organising secretary of Chittagong division of Bangladesh Group Theater Federation, Khorshedul Alam, office secretary of Bangladesh Group Theater Federation, members of Dhaka Metropolitan Council, playwright director Deepak Chowdhury .

On the first day of the festival, Natnandan staged the play ‘Nari O Rakkhoshi’ under the direction of Asma Akhtar. On the second day, the drama troupe from Chittagong under the direction of Moslem Uddin Sikder will

stage the play ‘Mrityupakhi’. Natyadal Chandrakala Theater from Dhaka will stage the play ‘Sheikh Saadi’ under the direction of director HR Anik on the third day

‘Antarjali’ will be staged by Chittagong-based drama troupe Nandikar under the direction of director Abdul Hadi on fourth day. On the fifth day, Natanandan will stage the play ‘Auction’ under the direction of director Asma Akter. On the sixth day, Natyadal Sanlap Group Theater in Dhaka will stage the play ‘Bodh’ under the direction of director Mostafa Hira.

At the end of each drama staging there will be ‘Ten Minutes with Team’, where the audience will share their thoughts with the theater troupes.
