Swapnodal celebrates Selim Al Deen’s death anniversary

To commemorate the 14th death anniversary of Natyacharya Selim Al Deen, theatre troupe Swapnodal has organised a two-day ceremony titled ‘Natyacharya Selim Al Deen Shoronoutshob 2022’ starting from Friday.

In the 25th edition of Swapnodal’s regular festival commemorating the Natyacharya’s birth and death anniversary, their slogan is ‘Oitijjhe Rabidranath – Selim Al Deen, Bangalir Natyajatray Prerona Rongin.’

A special webinar titled ‘Rabidranath-Selim Al Deen er Natyadorshon O Bangla Natyariti’ was held at 10pm on Facebook live with the discussion on Natyacharya’s life, work and philosophy.

Today, Rabindranath Tagore’s play ‘Chitrangada,’ produced by Swapnadal and directed by Zahid Ripon, will be staged at the studio theater of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
