The shooting of the web film titled ‘Horijon Polli’ directed by Shokal Ahmed, based on the life of the scheduled caste, started on Sunday at Rajbari.
The director of the film confirmed the news to The Business Post.
He said, “Basically, we planned to make this web series about a few years ago. Syed Ashik Rahman talked to me about the story. I have been learning and reading about the scheduled caste and their lifestyle for a long time. I always wanted to work on these types of projects, where we can show the life of the marginalised people in our society. I went to their localities to research about them and to know them closely. I am very happy that we have finally started shooting.”
Regarding the plot, he said, “It is a love story between a girl and boy who live in a scheduled caste locality. They face many struggles throughout their journey. We have tried to show their struggles and how society looks down on them. Tasnova Tisha and Arosh Khan are playing the lead characters here.”
The producer of the film, Ashik, said, “Scheduled castes are a part of our society. We wanted to show their lives to society. I hope people will become more accepting of them through this web film. We want to create awareness through this film. I hope the audience will love it.”
Fazlul Haque Akash has written the screenplay and dialogue of this film, with Ashik penning the story. The film is produced by Bengal Multimedia.
The film stars Lutfar Rahman George, Afri Selina, and many others alongside Tisha and Arosh.
