Noor tests positive for Covid-19 again

Noted theatre personality and Member of Parliament Asaduzzaman Noor has tested positive for Covid-19 once again.

Noor’s test report for Covid-19 came out positive on Sunday, Golam Kuddus, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president, confirmed The Business Post.

“He has been admitted to a private hospital in the capital on Monday for a health checkup. His overall health condition is quite well”, said Kuddus.

Asaduzzaman Noor tested positive for Covid for the first time, back in December 2020.

Noor, a former minister for cultural affairs (2014-2019) and multiple time elected MP from Nilphamari-2 of Awami League, is currently a member of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Best known for his television character ‘Baker Bhai’ from Humayun Ahmed’s majestic drama serial ‘Kothao Keu Nei’, Noor won the Independence Award (2018) for his contribution to the country’s arts and culture.

Noor recently made a comeback on radio through the drama ‘Tahar Kotha’ where he plays the role of a school teacher.
