Drama serial ‘Dour–The Trendy’ goes on air

A new drama serial titled ‘Dour–The Trendy’ starring an ensemble cast led by Marzuk Russell and Urmila Srabanti Kar will start airing on Boishakhi Television from tonight.

The serial is written by Jakir Hossain Ujjwal, directed by Faridul Hasan and produced by Mid Enterprise.

The cast includes Ezazul Islam, Shamim Naznin, Oliul Haque Rumi, Nabila Islam, Jamil Hossain, Milon Bhatta, Farzana Rikta, Swarnalata, Siam Nasir, Ayesha Nafisa, Nusrat, Jannat Ruhi, Sanchita Dutta, Tutul Chowdhury, Jamal Raza, Harun Rashid, Hanif Paloan, Belal Ahmed Murad and Saju Ahmed.

According to director Faridul Hasan, ‘Dour–The Trendy’ sheds light on the changing lifestyle and rat race of life in a big city with the advancements in technology. It will also depict how the urban people are going with the flow of trends in culture, fashion and virtualisation.

The story revolves around two neighbouring houseowners named Rokeya Rahman and Sharafat Hasan who were close friends before, but in the course of time, their friendship discontinues. They are not in good terms with each other anymore and develop a rivalry. The story progresses with the conflict spreading among the tenants of both the houses who once entered the city with dreams to make life happier. This follows a series of interesting events.

The serial ‘Dour–The Trendy’ will air its episodes at 9:20pm on each Saturday, Sunday and Monday on Boishakhi TV.

Director Faridul Hasan earlier earned appreciation for directing the drama serial ‘Comedy 420’ starring Mir Sabbir, AKM Hasan, Humayra Himu and Kochi Khandaker on the same television channel.
