The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy has called for entries from aspiring short-filmmakers for a film competition titled ‘3 Minutes Film Contest and Festival’ 2022.
Applicants have been asked to submit their short films by February 28.
As the name suggests, the participating films must be of a maximum three-minute duration.
Shilpakala Academy said in a notice on its social media page on Monday that all the music used in the films will have to be copyright-free and must include credit lines.
The organisers further said that only unpublished or unreleased short films made between 2020 and 2021 will be eligible to participate in the contest. Interested people have been asked to submit their entries through [email protected] via an open share link in Google Drive within February 28, 2022. Details information is available on the academy’s website shilpakala.gov.bd.
The applicants can submit their films through three different age categories—Children (up to 18 years), Youth (18-25 years) and Open category (25 plus years).
Eight awards will be given in each of the categories. There will also be special jury mention prizes.
The schedule of the festival is yet to be announced.
