Indian production house Pooja Entertainment has announced that they bought their first virtual land in Metaverse, and have named it ‘Poojaverse’, reports Forbes.
The first film for ‘Poojaverse’ is ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ that features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. It will be the first Hindi film on Metaverse.
Calling Metaverse the new frontier of internet, producer Deepshikha Deshmukh says that it is a new way to connect and engage with the audience. She adds that simultaneous growth in block chain technology came over past few years as people spend a lot of time online for professional, educational, and entertainment purposes.
“I am super stoked to have our biggest and most Ambitious project – ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ in the Metaverse. We intend to make ‘Poojaverse’ the absolute go-to space for quality entertainment and various aspects of filmmaking in the digital world.”
Metaverse uses augmented and virtual reality experiences to create spaces that mimic the real world to create a a rich interaction for the user.
Producer Jackky Bhagnani also says, “We are really excited to announce our foray into our very own virtual space - ‘Poojaverse’ and our next big film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ - the first ever film from India to showcase its announcement on the Metaverse.”
‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ will release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam on Christmas 2023.
