‘Shaan’ to hit theatres on Eid

Dhallywood actors Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry starrer ‘Shaan’ directed by M Raahim, is now set to hit the theatres on upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

The director of the film has confirmed the news to The Business Post.

“’Shaan’ is a big budget film. We have tried to release ‘Shaan’ few times but failed due to the circumstances. Hopefully if everything goes alright, the film will be release on the occasion of Eid because I think it’s a film that families can enjoy during festivals.”

Inspired by actual events, the film’s story revolves around the life of an honest police officer named Shaan played by Siam on the screen.

“The film portrays the story of police officer Shaan, who believes in intelligence rather than muscle power. Shaan is the story of a man who protects the people of his country without expecting anything in return. This is the story of all the unsung heroes of our country,” actor Siam, who will be playing the titular role in ‘Shaan’, told The Business Post.

The script and the dialogues of ‘Shaan’ are co-written by Azad Khan and Nazim Ud Daula. The film is produced by Wahidur Rahman and M Atiqur Rahman under the banner of Filman Productions.

Along with Siam and Puja, ‘Shaan’ also features Champa, Aruna Biswas, Syed Hasan Imam and Misha Sawdagar, among others. With this movie, Champa and Aruna are collaborating after long 22 years.

Through ‘Shaan’, the audience will get to see Siam and Puja together after three years. They earlier shared screened in the films ‘Poramon 2’ and ‘Dohon’ which released in 2018.
